Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota is a journalist as well as an author, and is the anchor of CNN's morning program "New Day." She is a resident of Westport, CT, and was elected to Westport Country Playhouse's Board of trustees. For the past three decades in reporting, Camerota has covered stories across the globe, earning her an Emmy Award for her breaking news coverage of the arrest by Roger Stone, and the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for her breaking news reporting on the impact of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Johnna G. Torsone, from Stamford was named Honorary Trustees for her work on the Board of Trustees since 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport has been appointed chair of the Board following an appointment on the Board in 2013. Czekaj Farber takes over from Barbara Streicker, a Westport resident who served as chairman of the board since 2015. The board chair continues to serve as a board member, since 2006. There are 26 trustees on the board at The Playhouse.
